AFPDE is a women's organization under Congolese law, whose goals are to recognize the rights of women and children, to protect them, and to support their rehabilitation. It carries out its activities in the province of South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where wars, human rights abuses, particularly sexual violence, continue to claim many victims.
