Crane Center For Mass Atrocity Prevention

Indiana, United States

OUR MISSION

The Crane Center for Mass Atrocity Prevention seeks to foster sustainable peace and prevent mass violence around the world through practical research, educator empowerment, and civic literacy.

OUR INSPIRATION

The Crane Center was born out of the need for a vastly different approach to mass atrocity prevention. We recognize that there is no single solution to conflict and that each instance requires a unique approach. We work directly with communities to resolve issues that most often lead to mass violence using projects aimed at addressing each community’s specific needs. We believe this approach will bridge the gaps between prevention practitioners, scholars, and at-risk communities.

OUR VISION

Through collaboration with international and community partners, Crane Center for Mass Atrocity Prevention seeks to leverage programs focused on the Civics, STEM, Democracy, and Holocaust Education in order to develop practical and sustainable solutions that empower communities at risk for mass violence. We recognize that there is no single solution to conflict and that each instance requires its own unique approach. We work directly with communities to resolve issues that most often lead to mass violence using targeted projects aimed at addressing each community’s specific needs. We seek sustainability; we seek solutions; and, more than anything, we seek a world where lasting peace is no longer a goal but a reality.
