International Center for Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma (ICMGLT)
New York, United States
The International Center for Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma (ICMGLT) raises awareness of the universal importance and suffering experienced through multigenerational legacies of trauma.
ICMGLT advances multidimensional awareness and understanding of the multigenerational nature and legacies of trauma. We provide literature and expertise in all related professions and traditions. We also produce and support relevant research and use informed, stigma-free advocacy to raise awareness of trauma. Professionals seek to find ways to prevent the destructive legacies of trauma from being perpetuated over generations.
A key aim for ICMTGLT is to integrate advances in related disciplines including traumatology, neuroscience, family theory, culture, anthropology, history, political science, justice, law, victimology and religion. We have dedicated much of our work to supporting survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides and their families.
