Having founded both Waging Peace and Network for Africa, Ms. Tinsley has dedicated her life to supporting dissidents, championing mental health, and providing humanitarian aid for those affected by conflict in Sudan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. During the war in the Balkans, she sent convoys of aid to Bosnian Muslim refugees. Currently, Ms. Tinsley serves on the board of the Free Yazidi Foundation
