Call for Proposals – Virtual Conference:

Genocide Education

25 –26 July 2024


The International Association of Genocide Scholars extends this call for proposals for a virtual conference on the theme Teaching About Genocide on July 25-26, 2024, co-sponsored by the Educators' Institute for Human Rights and the Alliance Against Genocide


This call is open to both members and non-members of IAGS, as is the conference itself. Registration is free, and proposals are welcomed from international scholars, educators, and practitioners in the field.


DIRECTIONS:


If you are interested in making a presentation, please submit a presentation proposal. If you are interested in giving a paper, please submit an abstract. Presentation proposals and abstracts should not exceed 250 words.


Topics can address any area of genocide education and should speak to a wide audience, (academics, teachers, practitioners, and students) and fit within a 20-minute time-frame to allow time for questions and discussion. Applicants should also include a 150-word bio, along with applicant details (name, title, institution, email address). 


If interested, please submit proposals and applicant details in a single Word or PDF document to Lorna Waddington (L.L.Waddington@leeds.ac.uk) and James Snow (jsnow@loyola.edu) no later than April 1, 2024.
